Downtown and Plum Island require different airport plans
Newburyport’s compact historic center can make the city look simple on a map, but airport starts differ sharply. Market Square and the waterfront use busy central streets; the South End and Joppa extend toward the river; the North End reaches toward the New Hampshire line; Storey Avenue offers quicker I-95 access; and Plum Island adds a causeway and exposed coastal roads. A useful reservation begins with the complete property and entrance, not a generic Newburyport pickup.
A Logan ride often falls around 60 to 100 minutes, but I-95, Route 1, bridge traffic, summer weekends, snow, Boston tunnels and terminal congestion can widen that range. Plum Island weather or beach queues may add time before the interstate trip begins. Boston Airport Rides works backward from the airline’s terminal requirement and confirms a pickup for the specific date and neighborhood instead of treating a downtown inn and island rental as interchangeable.
